Marcelo has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus since Cristiano Ronaldo's sensational transfer to the Turin outfit. He seemed on the verge of joining the Old Lady when Santiago Solari opted to give rising star Sergio Reguilon a chance to start and ultimately benched the Brazilian.
However, his luck has turned 180 degrees after Real Madrid decided to reappoint Zinedine Zidane as their new head coach. The Frenchman handed him the starting position in the manager's debut match for the Los Blancos and, the 30-year-old answered brilliantly.
Now a report from Italy suggests that Juve could go for Emerson Palmieri instead if Marcelo decides to stay. The Chelsea defender has shown some promising signs under Maurizio Sarri and has been touted as a more deserved starter than Marcos Alonso.
