Arsenal have comfirmed on their official website that right back Bacary Sagna will leave the club and join Manchester City.
The 31-year-old defender’s contract will expire on June 30 and he has signed a three year deal with City.
Manchester City also announced the signing on their official website. He has also been given the number 3 shirt.
Sagna’s move to City means he will follow in the footsteps of other ex-Arsenal players Emmanuel Adebayor, Samir Nasri, Kolo Toure and Gael Clichy who joined the Manchester club.
Yesterday, sagna had posted an emotional message on Instagram confirming that he would be leaving the club.
Sagna signed for Arsenal in 2007 from Auxerre. He made a total of 284 appearances for the North London club.
The defender is currently with the France squad in Brazil for the World Cup.
