The new owners reformed the core squad by investing millions. Galaxy of stars were inducted into the squad. Over the years, players like Gareth Barry, Carlos Tevez, Yaya Toure, David Silva, Samir Nasri, etc joined the club. City clinched the Premier League title in the 2011/12 season after 44 years. The same season they thumped 6 goals against arch-rivals Manchester United.

Manchester City sacked Roberto Mancini at the end of the previous season and appointed Manuel Pellegrini. City are currently placed third in the league table with six points from 3 games. Likes of Jesus Navas, Alvaro Negredo and Fenandinho joined the club this season.The fans hope to witness yet another successful season.
