Sergio Aguero plans to return to Argentina in 2020
According to Sky Sports, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has expressed his desire to return to his boyhood club Independiente when his contract with the Sky Blues expires.
"I always said that I would like to return to Independiente when my contract ends with City, which is in 2020. I am not thinking about that now. I am focused on finishing the season well and reaching the World Cup", Aguero said.
A nine-year-old Aguero signed with the Buenos Aires-based club, where he stayed for three seasons, before making a move to La Liga side Atletico Madrid at 18.
The 29-year-old joined City in 2011 and became the club's all-time leading goalscorer during his seven years with the Premier League club.
Pep Guardiola identified Eden Hazard as his top transfer target
If latest reports from the Express are to be believed, Manchester City are in talks with Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard, who has been a long-time target of Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Apparently, Pep Guardiola has decided to pursue the Belgian international after losing the race to sign Manchester United's latest high-profile recruit Alexis Sanchez in January.
The 27-year-old, who is yet to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge, has played 290 games for the Blues, scoring 87 goals.
Although Chelsea have Hazard tied down until the summer of 2020, the star player, in a controversial, yet stunning move, can make a move to the Etihad Stadium after a below-par season of the London club.
City set to beat Liverpool to the signing of Thomas Lemar
According to the Daily Star, the latest twist in Thomas Lemar's tale is that Manchester City have emerged as favourites to beat Liverpool to the signing of AS Monaco star.
The 22-year-old winger, who will be one of the hottest properties in this summer's transfer window, is rated at £90m by the Ligue 1 club.
Since joining from Caen in 2015, Lemar has made 107 appearances for the French club and has scored 22 goals.
Although he is disappointed at not being able to secure a move when there was plenty of interest in him last summer, Lemar is confident that a lot of clubs will come back in for him, "I am open to all offers. I am a football player, I like football. I do not close any door."
