Mourinho will not be pleased with Manchester United's performance
#1 Lack of desire from players

Manchester United v Crystal Palace - Premier League
The biggest concern in the game against Crystal Palace has to be the United player's lack of urgency. United started the game well and pressed the Eagles back for the first 20 minutes. However, they could not get the decisive goal in that time, which enabled Palace to come back into the game. They attacked United on the counter and with a little bit of composure in front of goal, could have even punished the Red Devils.

As the game went on, the players seemed to be lost, but that has been the case in the first half for almost all the games this season. What was alarming was that United failed to hit higher gears in the second half.
When Mourinho realized that nothing was working, he tried to spice things up by bringing on Fellaini and Rashford in place of Lingard and Mata. He even threw in Sanchez in place of the misfiring Pogba. While the substitutes did display a little bit of desire, the whole team failed to gel.
The players seemed unaware that points lost at Old Trafford against a team languishing at the bottom of the league was unimaginable for Manchester United, especially since they were already miles behind the front row performers. It is this attitude, this lack of desire that will be of the greatest concern for Mourinho after the Palace game.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
