Anthony Martial (L) impressed for United on the night
Anthony Martial got a lot of stick last season due to his work ethic and his inconsistencies on the pitch. The Frenchman seems to have matured over the summer and against Inter Milan, Martial had one of his better days. Solskjaer decided to play him through the middle and Martial responded in style.

The Frenchman was full of confidence throughout the game, taking players on with ease and giving the Inter Milan defense jitters with his quick feet. Martial combined well with the other forward players and led the line admirably. Even though he could not score, the Frenchman gave a great account of himself and Solskjaer will surely be pleased with his efforts on the field.
However, what will please United fans and the manager both is the work put in by Martial on the pitch. He looked like a shadow of his former, lethargic self and was a completely different player. He dropped down, closed the opposition with intent and even pressed from the top. Solskjaer will now hope that Martial can carry forward this form into the new season.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.

Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
