#2 Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong impressive again
Both Greenwood and Chong got only 30 minutes to impress Solskjaer and they did exactly that. Especially Greenwood, who has now scored in both the pre-season games. His goal was absolutely brilliant as he received the ball on the right side, shimmied a little, turned and shot it into the back of the net.
He did it with his left foot and at another moment in the game, he received the ball at the half-line, performed a roulette turn and left Milan Skriniar for dead. Chong also managed to impress on the left-wing after coming on. He beat his marker on many occasions and was fouled constantly. Unfortunately, he picked up a knock late in the game and Angel Gomes replaced him.
Both these players are real talents and Solskjaer needs to handle them very carefully.
#1 Manchester United lack a number 10 who can open up a defence at will
If the pre-season is anything to go by, Solskjaer seems to prefer a fluid 4-2-3-1 as his go-to formation and currently, United lack that cutting edge number 10. Only Juan Mata has those traits but he is on the wrong side of 30.
If United can sign up a number 10 before the window closes, preferably someone like Bruno Fernandes, then this team would start to look much more comprehensive. As things stand though, United still have a lot of work to do in the transfer market.
