Since making the move to Old Trafford, Daniel James has started in all of United’s games this season, hitting the ground running and wowing fans with his finishing prowess. The Welshman was probably bought with the future in mind, however, he has shown the world that he is perfectly capable of playing at United’s level even though his talent is still a bit raw.

Because of the injury to Anthony Martial, James found himself on the left forward role, as Rashford was selected to lead the line. It hardly seemed to matter to him though, because he started the game with a bang. Receiving a ball from Scott McTominay, he cut inside, approached the edge of the box and unleashed a fiery volley into the far corner. United were under pressure at the start of the game, but the goal made them comfortable.
James continued to be United’s most dangerous forward for the entire first half, stretching the defense time and again. He combined well with Juan Mata and Ashley Young in the final third, but his contribution was not restricted to attack alone. The Welshman regularly tracked back to help Young out and also won back the ball with his continued pressing. He looks like a fine addition to this United team and was the best player on the pitch for the Red Devils.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
