Tottenham Hotspur Player Ratings
Hugo Lloris - 5/10
He was beaten by Fernandes's penalty in the first-half, and then got beaten by a Rashford shot which hit the post. That aside, the Spurs captain had a watching brief.
Serge Aurier - 8/10
The red card, coupled with Luke Shaw's fear of getting out wide to defend, ensured that Aurier had a field day. He was always an outlet for the cross-field switch to be played. It was a sensational way to top off the game he had, with a goal as well.
Davinson Sanchez - 5/10
A daft moment early in the game led to Manchester United's penalty. That could have been so much more costly for Spurs than it eventually ended up being.
Eric Dier - 6/10
Dier did the simple things right, and kept the ball moving for Spurs. Defensively, he barely had a thing to do.
Sergio Reguilon - 6/10
His enthusiasm and pace down the flank is there for all to see. He just needs to improve his end-product, and his crossing.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg - 7/10
The Dane set the tone for Spurs by winning a couple of crunching tackles in midfield. He set up Aurier's goal with a peach of a through-ball as well.
Mousa Sissoko - 7/10
Sissoko's energy in the middle of the park was important for Unbited to shut down Pogba. Once Spurs had the man advantage, Sissoko's switch ball to Aurier was a massive weapon.
Tanguy Ndombele - 8/10
He got Spurs back level with a nicely taken goal, which finished off well after United confusion in their own box. He was also terrific in midfield, with his quality in tight areas.
Erik Lamela - 6/10
He might be considered a bit lucky to not have been sent off in the incident that saw Martial walk. But his quality on the ball was sometimes questionable.
Son Heung-min - 9/10
He was doubtful to start this game, but his pace and directness was a constant problem for Manchester United. He took both his goals superbly,. to leave De Gea with no chance.
Harry Kane - 10/10
It was a perfect performance from kane. He was terrific in dropping deep, and creating space for Son to run into central areas and straight at De Gea's goal. He also scored twice - with one easy finish, and one penalty that he took with aplomb.
Substitutes
Lucas Moura - 6/10
Moura replaced Lamela at half-time, but didn't really have as much of an attacking impact as he'd have liked.
Dele Alli - 6/10
Alli enjoyed his time out in a Spurs midfield that took joy in denying United the ball.
Ben Davies - 6/10
He came on to replace Son with just a few minutes left in the game.
