#1 Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku could easily have scored more
Goals win you games and Lukaku scored two. That should be enough to make him the main player who rescued United. But the Belgian did so much more throughout the game, that he deserved those 2 goals he scored.

He drifted to the right to bring Lingard into the game, linked well with his two attacking partners, dropped down to create spaces for Sanchez and Lingard. Lukaku showed a more complete, a more mature side of his game against Burnley, even though he was wasteful as well and got United the deserved three points.
His first goal was a brilliant header from a Sanchez cross. It looked like the cross was beyond him, but Lukaku adjusted his header to find the net. His second goal was a typical poachers goal when a shot from outside the box by Lingard found him after a few deflections and he powered one home from close range.

He could have had a hattrick had Pogba not been so selfish when United won the penalty. Sadly, the Frenchman missed from the spot. Yet, the Belgian showed his humble side, not complaining about missing out on the opportunity. He did have another opportunity to get his hattrick later, however, but was thwarted by Hart again.
Next, he was set up by Pogba with a fabulous long ball and left Hart on the floor with his stepovers, only to be disrupted from scoring brilliantly by Mee. He really should have had his hattrick, but it was his two goals which ultimately won United a tense game.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
