4. Flop - Raheem Sterling
What has happened to Raheem Sterling over the past three months? The English international is yet to score or assist a goal in 2020, and his performances over the past few months have slowly grown worse, with today being the latest addition in a series of games he would like to forget.
A good through ball to Sergio Aguero aside, Sterling had a very disappointing showing tonight against his club's biggest rivals. His poor decision making in the final third combined with his sideways passing slowed down a couple of fast-break opportunities, and despite seeing a lot of the ball, his end output left a lot to be desired.
Sterling's two shots on target did not trouble David de Gea at all, and the former Liverpool player failed to step up in the absence of Kevin De Bruyne - he has failed to score in 20 appearances against the Red Devils now. If City is to win the Champions League, Pep will need his winger to up his game back to what it was last season.
3. Hit - Bruno Fernandes
A case can be made for Bruno Fernandes being the best player in the Premier League since he arrived in England over a month ago. After putting on some fantastic performances for the Red Devils in February, Fernandes shined bright once again tonight in this all-important game as he led his team from the middle of the park.
The Portuguese midfielder's scrumptious pass led to Martial's goal which gave Manchester United the lead, and Fernandes was consistent throughout the game with the ball at his feet. The former Sporting Lisbon player had three shots and registered three key passes with just 40 touches of the ball.
If Manchester United are to finish in the top 4, a lot of credit needs to go to their recent signing, who has single-handedly managed to turn things around at the club with his brilliance on the field.
