2. Flop - Ederson
Ederson Moraes had one of the worst games of his career as the Brazilian shot-stopper made not one, but two errors leading to a goal in a showing which he would like to put behind him as soon as possible.
For the first goal, the goalkeeper should have done a better job as Martial's shot sneaked past him in the near post. It was a shot that a keeper of Ederson's calibre is expected to save, but he could do nothing about it.
The second goal was the stuff of nightmares - in the 96th minute, the former Benfica player tried to throw the ball out to his defender for a fast break, but the throw was awful. The ball was intercepted by Scott McTominay who saw Ederson off his line and hoofed the ball into the back of an empty net from more than 30 yards out.
The Premier League-winning goalkeeper could only cover his face in horror as his team conceded a stoppage-time goal and lost all 3 points.
1. Hit - Aaron Wan Bissaka
Manchester United's summer signing was a colossus on the field today. Over the 180 minutes in both the Manchester Derbies in the Premier League this season, no player has performed better than Aaron Wan-Bissaka who shut down the Manchester City attack tonight.
Adventurous going forward and a defensive titan at the back, Wan-Bissaka today reminded the fans that he has been one of Manchester United's best players this season. The right-back had two interceptions and an astounding eight tackles won today as he ensured that the likes of Sterling and Oleksandr Zinchenko received no space down his flank.
The Engish international also had one key pass to his name and completed three dribbles - it was truly a complete performance from a defender who continues to improve with almost every game he plays.
