Ruben Amorim's Manchester United fell to a disappointing 3-2 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday, December 7. The Red Devils again showed an inability to defend set pieces and balls into their box, dropping another three points to remain in the bottom half of the table.
Forest opened the scoring in the second minute as Nikola Milenkovic powered in Elliot Anderson's corner. Rasmus Hojlund equalized in the 18th minute, sweeping home a fine move after Alejandro Garnacho's shot was saved. The two sides headed into the break level on the scoreboard.
The visitors retook the lead in the 47th minute after Manchester United's poor attempt to play the ball out from the back was punished by Morgan Gibbs-White. Chris Wood scored Forest's third in the 54th minute with a fine header. United captain Bruno Fernandes halved the deficit in the 61st minute to wrap up the scoring in the match.
