According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United took a step further to sign Luke Shaw with their latest bid of £30m. Luke Shaw has been one of the prime United targets and they are leaving no stones unturned to bring the teenager to Old Trafford.
With the initial bid of £22m being turned down in January, they revised and improved the bid to £27m again to be rejected by the Saints. This £30 million offer is expected to be Manchester United’s third and final bid, which will make Shaw the second most expensive full-back in history, clearly indicating how desperately they want to sign the youngster.
United will look to complete the deal before the player leaves for the World Cup in Brazil so it doesn’t come down to a bidding war if he puts in a good performance there. With speculation of Patrica Evra leave United this summer, Luke Shaw could be the ideal replacement for him.
