The Spaniard had been written off by both his two previous managers at Manchester United, but it is to his credit that Herrera had proved both of them wrong. Solskjaer made no such mistakes though, continuing with the intelligent midfielder to start alongside Matic and Pogba. Herrera in turn, showed his new boss his all-round abilities and gave United a very solid base to move forward from.

In the middle, the Spaniard allowed Pogba to flourish, while also joining United's attack whenever possible. His intelligence was evident in the 29th minute, when he ran into space near the box and unleashed a shot that found the back of the net, via a lucky deflection. Herrera did not rest on his laurels though, he quietly went on with his work.
He covered for Young whenever the Englishman was caught off position higher up the pitch, he ensured that Matic was never bogged down by the opposition and he did the clean up when required near his own box. He was an essential part of the midfield against Cardiff and Solskjaer should be mighty impressed with him.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
