Ed Woodward has been urged to sign a World Class Sporting Director
According to Andy Mitter, the Editor of the Manchester United club fanzine United We Stand, the Red Devils need a World Class Sporting Director to turn their fortunes around. United have been looking to make a few changes in the club hierarchy and the appointment of a Sporting Director was seen as a step in the right direction.

Sir Alex Ferguson had recommended Steve Walsh for the role, but Ed Woodward reportedly wants a former United footballer in the position. Mitten, though, believes that United need a champion Sporting Director immediately
It has to be an excellent sporting director - someone who knows how to do that job better than anyone else, a top-five person in the world.
These people tend to speak five languages. They tend to be football obsessives. They tend to know that there is a brilliant left-back at Palermo and know his agent and know a club has already been onto him. They have got a rich depth of knowledge.
There are a lot of talented people at Manchester United on the recruitment side. There are a lot of people with world-class CVs but the end result is that players are coming in and it is not gelling.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
