#3 United continue negotiations with Paulo Dybala
Manchester United are inching closer to the deal of the summer, after agreeing to swap forgotten striker Romelu Lukaku with Juventus sensation Paulo Dybala. The Belgian had dropped down the pecking order since Solskjaer's appointment and it was clear that he was no longer a part of the Norwegian's plans. Lukaku was looking for a move away from Old Trafford all summer, with Inter Milan courting him, but failing to match United's valuation of the player.
Juventus had taken advantage of the situation and offered a swap deal involving Paulo Dybala, who had been living under the shadows of Cristiano Ronaldo since the Portuguese arrived at Turin last season. Dybala's consent was all that was left for the deal to materialize.
Acclaimed Italian Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed that negotiations between the club and the player are ongoing after a breakthrough could not be reached on Thursday. Meanwhile, it is also being reported that Dybala will not resume practice with the Serie A champions until 5th August, which could be another sign that a transfer is imminent in the next couple of days.
