In the footballing world, where transfer rumours – most of them baseless – are plentiful, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has developed somewhat of a reputation rooted in legitimacy in breaking major updates.
Di Marzio, who broke the Jose Mourinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United news, has provided fans of the club with more cause for celebration after he confirmed that the English giants have agreed personal terms with Paul Pogba.
The French midfield dynamo, who will lead the home nation’s charge in the second Euro 2016 semi-final against Germany tomorrow, is said to have agreed to a wage of 13 million Euros per season with the club.
Though, with Juventus expected to dig deep in their efforts to keep hold of Pogba, the transfer fee is expected to eclipse the 100 million euro mark and the deal is far from set in stone as yet.
Newly appointed Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho had alluded to 4 key signings that the club require in order to possess a balanced squad, and with the Henrikh Mkhitaryan signing following that of Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba’s name has been widely touted to be the fourth marquee addition.
Real Madrid are also rumoured to be hot on the heels of Pogba, and it remains to be seen if this results in a bidding war between two of the powerhouses in world football.
