Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced he’d be signing for Manchester United, and reports suggested Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be joining him soon. However, it seems Manchester United went one step ahead and are already selling Henrikh Mkhitaryan kits on their official website. Mkhitaryan has been strongly linked to Manchester United in the last few days, after his agent, Mino Raiola, publicly admitted that his client wants to sign for the Premier League giants. The Armenian star just had one year left on his contract at Signal Iduna Park, and reports initially suggested Borussia Dortmund are not prepared to let another key player leave this summer.
However, it now appears Manchester United have offered enough money to convince Borussia Dortmund to sell Mkhitaryan. Earlier, Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio claimed the Armenian star is set to sign for Manchester United and has already found a home.
There were also suggestions in German newspaper Bild that Mino Raiola had agreed a four-year deal for his client with Borussia Dortmund last month, but after a couple of weeks, Mkhitaryan sent a text to Thomas Tuchel stating that he wants to sign for Manchester United.

An announcement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan seems to be imminent and could very well be done this week itself. Mino Raiola is the agent of both the players and reports in France today suggest Manchester United have also opened discussions for Paul Pogba, who is also a client of the Italian agent.
The 27-year-old has been in impressive form last season, with 23 goals and 32 assists to his name, and is just the kind of signing to get the fans excited. Mkhitaryan spent three seasons at Signal Iduna Park, after signing for them in 2013 in a €27.5m deal from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The signing of Mkhitaryan could put Juan Mata’s future at Old Trafford in doubt, and it’d be interesting to see if Jose Mourinho will ship him again to another club.
Ed Woodward seems to be determined to take back Manchester United to the pinnacle of English football, and Jose Mourinho can expect plenty of support in the transfer market. It’s safe to say, the arrival of Jose Mourinho has, once again, tempted some of the biggest stars in European football to Old Trafford.
