After spending most of time on the sidelines, Allen has surely been not the kind of player he was under Rodgers at Swansea. Though, few would say Allen hasn’t been given his preferred choice in the heart of the middle, but it would be more than just to say that he surely hasn’t delivered playing in midfield. He hardly passes the ball forward, tracks back to help his defence or provided the incisive pass in the final third.
