Manchester United announce Aeroflot as new official carrier

Manchester United has announced a five-year partnership Aeroflot, an Russian company. This Moscow based international airline will become the club’s Official Carrier.

This partnership helps the club enter Russia through a commercial venture – an open market where it could explore further and has close to 18 million followers.

This deal was announced at United’s Old Trafford stadium. Aeroflot’s CEO Vitaly Saveliev and Manchester United’s Group MD, Richard Arnold were accompanied by team manager, David Moyes, and the first team squad to celebrate the partnership.

Aeroflott is Russia’s leading airline, founded in 1923. It also won the ‘Best Airline in Eastern Europe’ recently at the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards. Its latest achievements include the ‘Most Stylish Airline’ award by Skyscanner as well as Russia’s Company of the Year 2012′.

As the Official Carrier of the club, Aeroflot will provide the EPL champions with strategic advice on travel for the team and club representatives.
