Luka Modric’s £33million switch to Real Madrid will spark a crazy final two days before the transfer window finally shuts down,with Manchester United potentially at the centre of the frenzy.

The big question is who will cash-rich Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas now target with the Reds’ out-of-sorts winger Nani a distinct possibility along with injury-prone Brazilian midfielder Anderson.

Both have played in Portugal prior to Manchester and will be well-known to AVB. Although SAF has said there will be no further signings this summer, his stance could change if inconsistent Nani is not offered a new contract and is sold.
