Neymar left to win Ballon d'Or claims Jeremy Mathieu

Former FC Barcelona defender, Jeremy Mathieu believes that Neymar left the Catalans to have a fighting chance to win the Ballon d'Or. Mathieu spoke to EFE about Neymar's world record move, “No one believed at any moment that he would leave Barcelona. Football is like so. His decision, my opinion is that he left Barcelona because he was behind [Lionel] Messi. I think he wants to win a Ballon d’Or and at the moment he is happy in Paris because he scores goals.”

Manchester United looking to sign Lucas Lima in January

Manchester Evening News has reported that the Red Devils are looking to sign Lucas Lima, the 27-year-old Santos attacker on a free transfer in January. The Brazilian is a highly rated player and has rejected an extension with Santos to sign for a European club in January. Jose Mourinho is expected to sign a forward in January to increase the competition in the squad with Lima hoping to be a quality addition.
