Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev blasted Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea over Radamel Falcao's time in England. Falcao, who was on loan at both Manchester United and Chelsea in the last two seasons, scored only 5 goals in his loan stint in England. And Vasilyev thinks the Colombian star was let down by both of the Premier League clubs as he wasn't provided with enough time and chances to recover from his long injury.
“Both clubs in England failed to relaunch him,” said Vasilyev to Daily Mail. “I don't know whether Manchester United and Chelsea did not have the patience or the desire to do that but I am quite sure this year we will see Falcao at his previous best,” he stated.
Falcao is set to start against Tottenham Hotspur in Champions League group stage at Wembley on Wednesday.

Vasilyev also revealed Monaco resisted selling the 30-year old, claiming Monaco were sure they could bring the Colombian's fitness and self-confident back again. "You have to be patient but the big clubs have other topics on their agenda," he said before adding "If you sign a player of this magnitude after a big injury it takes time and games to get him back into shape."
He accused the English clubs that they did not have any patience over the player's injury. "This is what we will do and what Manchester United and Chelsea didn't do, failed to do or didn't want to do," said Vasilyev.
The Monaco vice president also believes the star striker is back to his former self and will go places this year. "We all see the qualities are there and it is a matter of time. Monaco will make every effort and you will see a very different Falcao this season to the one you saw in England," he said.
The former Atletico Madrid star had suffered a devastating leg injury during his time at Monaco, after which, his form has dipped drastically. After returning to Monaco after two disappointing seasons with Manchester United and Chelsea the striker seems to be finally finding his form. He has already scored two times in three games this season.
Falcao lit up the European footballing scene with his goalscoring prowess during his stints with FC Porto and Atletico Madrid before moving to the Ligue 1 side in 2013 after agreeing to a deal that would pay him €18.2 million annually.
