After completing the signing of Victor Valdes, Manchester United have signed highly rated youngster Kayne Diedrick-Roberts from Fulham.
The Daily Mail reported on this deal: “The 15-year-old was released by the Craven Cottage club because they already had three promising strikers for his age group, but United believe he has potential to improve and have given him a contract.”
“The teenager, who can play as a winger, second striker or in midfield was part of Fulham’s Premier League International Cup winning squad in November and impressed United recruitment staff. Diedrick-Roberts, a pupil at Kingsdale School, London, will sign as a first year professional at United officially in July.”
Manchester United have a big squad but don’t feature in many competitions this season. Having been knocked out from the League Cup, Van Gaal doesn’t have the chance to rotate his squad and give chances to some of his squad players.
Although Van Gaal talked about giving chances to youngster earlier in the season, the most highly rated youngster in United’s squad Adnan Januzaj has failed to make an impact in the limited number of chances he has got.
