Manchester United chief executive David Gill has confirmed that the club is chasing Crystal Palace hotshot Wilfried Zaha.
However, he also declared that “there is still a long way” to go till any move from Crystal Palace is accomplished.
Reports say that United are liable to agree on a £12 million transfer fee with Palace this month, and then loan him back to the team until the season ends.
Talking at the FA’s 150th anniversary launch, Gill said, “He’s one of the players we’re looking at and we’ll see what happens. There’s a long way to go. He’s one of the players we’re looking at. That’s all I’ll say at the moment.”
He added: “Even if we did do something with Wilfried Zaha, that would be for the summer.”
Alex Ferguson has been monitoring Zaha ever since the 20 year old’s amazing performance in Palace’s 2-1 League Cup win at Old Trafford a year ago.
