Patrice Evra has voted for Liverpool nemesis, Luis Suarez, as his PFA Player of the Year.
Luis Suarez was found guilty of racially abusing Evra last year at Anfield, resulting in an eight-match ban for the Liverpool striker.
The feud between the two intensified when Suarez rejected Evra’s handshake offer at Old Trafford in February 2012.
Sunday Mirror Sport claim that this is the second year running that Evra has voted for the Uruguayan as the Player of the Year.
A dressing-room insider at Old Trafford is reported as saying: “Suarez is an outstanding footballer, but no-one at United could believe it when Patrice voted for him.
“It shows the measure of the man that he didn’t allow what happened between them to cloud his judgement.
“He clearly doesn’t bear a grudge.”
Suarez has been in scintillating form this season and leads the Premier League scoring table (29 goals) despite missing Liverpool’s first five games by virtue of the ban he received for biting Chelsea right-back Branislav Ivanovic.
