Manchester United are one of the heavyweights of football and the most successful team in English football history with 20 league titles to their names, a feat matched by no other team, and 12 FA Cups. Post the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson things have looked a bit bleak at Old Trafford as they have fallen from the pinnacle of success under the Scottish manager and have struggled under new managers.
David Moyes replaced Sir Alex at the helm and was dubbed the Chosen One by the United faithful but the former Everton boss failed to deliver on his promise and dismal showings in the league saw him make way for Louis van Gaal.

The Dutchman brought back Champions League football to Old Trafford and delivered the FA Cup in his two seasons but that just wasn’t up to United standards and the former Barcelona and Ajax manager was let go at the end of this season.
With Manchester City, United’s famous “Noisy Neighbours” roping in the services of former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp taking charge of Liverpool, United fans expected an equally worthy man to take charge at Old Trafford.
The supporters were not disappointed as in stepped Jose Mourinho, the self-anointed “Special One”, to take charge of the club. The Old Trafford faithful will hope the Portuguese brings the Premier League crown to the club sooner rather than later.
