English giants Manchester United has announced that their partnership with global charity organization Unicef will be extended by a period of three years.
As a part of the deal the English Premier League champions has committed a further £1 million to Unicef’s child protection services, in which £500,000 will support the organization’s work to protect children in Vietnam. In addition the extra money will be used to support the Vietnamese government in developing a child protection system.
“We are immensely proud of our long-standing partnership with Manchester United and the continued commitment from the club and its fans to improving the lives of vulnerable children across the world. Unicef relies entirely on voluntary donations and partnerships like United for Unicef, and we are delighted that Manchester United has renewed this partnership for a further three years, helping us make a lasting difference to the lives of many more children,” said David Bull, executive director of Unicef UK.
The deal will extend the 13-year partnership between the club and the organization, which has raised an amount of £3 million for charity.
