#2 United renew their interest in Real Madrid Defender
There's a sense of deja vu about this. The Metro reported yesterday that Manchester United and Liverpool were both interested in signing Sergio Ramos. The Spanish defender had been in a similar situation in 2015, where United had even offered him a chance to move to the Premier League. However, it all turned out to be a tactics used by Ramos to get an improved deal from Real Madrid, which he diligently signed in the same year.
This time too, reports are emerging that the Real Madrid skipper is unhappy at the Santiago Bernabeu and is looking to end his 14 year long association with the club, news that had alerted both United and Liverpool. However, the Mirror reveals that Liverpool are not interested in the Spanish defender. Contrary to the popular notion, it has nothing to do with his disgraceful foul on Mohamed Salah in last season's Champions League final. Liverpool sources reveal that Klopp does not consider Ramos to be a defender he would like in his team.
Now it remains to be seen if Ramos will seriously consider moving to the Premier League of United come with an offer or whether the Spaniard will do another U-turn once again.
