This chant is undoubtedly the most emotional of all the Manchester United football chants. It was first sung in 1958 in honour of the six great Manchester United players that perished during the tragic plane crash in Munich. The six players were gone but not forgotten and the song is sung every February in memory of the dead. The chant is also a reminder of the Manchester United supporters’ undying faith in their club. Just this February a big banner with the words “We’ll Never Die” was unveiled at Old Trafford.

This chant reminds United fans of a young Giggs’ brilliant days as a speedy winger when he was nearly unstoppable. Even though he can’t play as a winger anymore his passing from the centre of the park is as sharp as ever.
