Arsene Wenger believes Neymar joined PSG for money
The Arsenal boss has claimed that Neymar's move to Paris Saint-Germain for a record sum of €222 million was a decision taken by the player for money rather than ambition. Arsene Wenger also said to Bein Sports that Neymar's move also shows that he does not want to challenge for his place in the team with some of the best players in the world. With a move to France, Neymar was also made the highest paid player in Europe by the club's Qatar based owners.
Gus Poyet leaves Shanghai Shenhua
The former Sunderland manager, Gus Poyet has resigned from Shanghai Shenhua after suffering yet another defeat in the Chinese Super League. He submitted his resignation after his side lost 2-1 to Henan Jianye which left Shanghai 12th in the league table. The big spenders in the Chinese leagues have had a season to forget as the Poyet managed side lost 11 games this season under the Argentine's regime.
