What’s the rumour?
As per reports from The Mirror, Jose Mourinho is lining up a move for Ajax sensation Justin Kluivert this summer. He is the son of Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert who was Netherland's all-time top scorer until Robin van Persie overtook him in 2013.
In case you didn't know...
Kluivert is the latest product of Ajax's famed youth system who made the breakthrough to the first team in 2016.
He was in the Ajax squad that lost to Manchester United in the 2017 UEFA Europa League final and has caught the eye of scouts all over the world and Mourinho for his impressive performances for the club.
In 55 games for Ajax, he has found the back of the net 12 times and has set up 10 goals as well. His current contract will soon run out in 2019.
The heart of the matter
Manchester United have lacked consistent performers on either flank all season and in a bid to strengthen the area, Mourinho is looking at possible targets. He has been impressed by Kluivert who is slowly making a name for himself and is following in his father's footsteps.
So, Mourinho is exploring the possibility of signing the 18-year-old this summer. But as per the report, former Red Devil goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar, who is Ajax's CEO at the moment, is reluctant to let go of the player and has advised him to continue his development at Ajax.
Rumour rating/probability - 5/10
This is still a rumour in its dormant stage and there is no concrete information yet about a possible move.

Author’s take
Kluivert seems to be a future star and he needs to get maximum minutes under his belt to continue his development. Thus, it will be better for the player to stay put at Ajax, mature into a well-rounded player and then seek a move abroad because there is no guarantee that he will get enough playing time at United.
