Manchester United are ready to use youngster Adnan Januzaj as a bargaining chip to sign PSV Eindhoven's Memphis Depay. The Dutch team would be ready to go ahead with the deal as the team’s sporting director Marcel Brands has shown interest in taking the winger on a loan deal.
Manchester United would be given an edge to sign Memphis Depay if they were to add Januzaj as part of the deal. The player is also being targeted by Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain, who are supposedly ahead of the race according to Brands.
Brands spoke about his interest on the player, saying: “If such a player like Adnan Januzaj would like to come and play Champions League football, you have a chance of making a temporary move.”
Januzaj has currently been benched for the majority of this season and has not been able to establish himself under Louis van Gaal having made only eight starts this season.
Both Everton and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest for the player but were denied the opportunity to sign the player midway through the campaign. United’s stance though might have changed since that time and may be willing to let him go to attain Depay’s signature.
