Jose Mourinho walked out of the Everton post-match press conference seemingly annoyed after Manchester United’s draw against the Toffees. United were in the lead thanks to a Zlatan Ibrahimovic strike, but Mourinho then brought on ex-Evertonian midfielder Marouane Fellaini in the last five minutes of the game and the Belgian International conceded a rather clumsy penalty in the 87th minute which Everton’s Leighton Baines buried to draw his side level.
Mourinho was left frustrated after the result and left the post-match press conference in a hurry.
When asked by a reporter as to why he brought on the Belgian Fellaini, Mourinho replied, "What do you mean by that? I thought you would know more about football than you do, because the answer is obvious. Everton is not the passing team anymore like they were, Everton is a team that plays direct, everything is direct, goalkeeper: direct, Ashley Williams: direct, Funes Mori: direct, everything is direct.”
"And when a team is losing and plays direct, intensifies the direct football, and when you have a player on the bench with two meters you play the player in front of the defensive line to help the team to the match." the Portuguese manager added.
When asked about the penalty decision, Mourinho remained quiet and refused to comment on the foul made by Fellaini saying, "I didn't see it."
He then said the same thing when asked about Marcos Rojo’s questionable foul on Gueye in the first half that many pundits thought warranted a red card.
Mourinho also said that his side have been playing “well” and that they are not getting the desired results out of games despite playing better than their opposition. The United manager also said that many teams have been “super happy” to get draws in the games against the Red Devils.

Mourinho then proceeded to walk out of the press conference rather early, saying that his side needs to score goals to win games.
United have dropped crucial points yet again and find themselves in 6th place in the Premier League table after 14 games on 21 points, 13 points behind leaders Chelsea.
Manchester United now play Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League in midweek and then face Tottenham in the Premier League as they look to get back to winning ways.
