David de Gea is all set to sign a fresh contract at Manchester United that will make him the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world, according to latest reports. The Spanish international is set to sign a 6-year deal with a wage package that will see him earn somewhere between £350,000 and £375,000 which is a significant raise.

The negotiations between the player and the club has been going on for several months now and at various intervals, it looked like an agreement will not be reached. De Gea was seeking wage parity with the club's highest earner Alexis Sanchez.
