What’s the story?

With Antoine Griezmann heading to Barcelona in the summer, Jose Mourinho is keen on finding an alternative. The manager has a list drawn up and the #1 on that list is reportedly Paulo Dybala.

As per reports in the Daily Star, Manchester United are confident of signing Dybala for a cut-price in the summer. The Argentine is reportedly available for just £60 million after a rift between him and the club.

In case you didn’t know…

Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata have not been doing what Jose Mourinho has asked from them. The manager is frustrated with the duo and has asked the board to sign a replacement as soon as possible.

The heart of the matter

Jose Mourinho wants to sign Dybala as he can play him as a forward and also as an attacking midfielder. The versatile Argentine is the perfect fit for the United team as per the manager's demands.

Dybala has been benched a lot lately and the player is reportedly not happy at the club. He was told to "make lots of sacrifices in his private life" by the club's vice-president, Pavel Nedved and that has got him revolting against the club.

Though Allegri has rebuffed all the speculations, it is quite clear that there is something going on at the back. “There is absolutely no problem – the problem would be not having him,” Allegri told Premium Sport.

Apart from Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also said to be keeping tabs on the Argentine's situation at the Serie A side. Real Madrid have also been linked with the forward.

Author’s Take

Dybala would be an incredible signing for Manchester United. However, it won't be just £60 million that they will have to fork out for him. It will cost them over £100 million easily as Juventus know what kind of a player he is.
