Manchester United travel to Craven Cottage today as David Moyes and his men will be looking to build on their recent run of good form. The Red devils managed to pull off a stunning victory against Stoke City last week coming from behind in the final minutes of the game and their midweek Capital One Clash against Norwich couldn’t have gone better.
With three straight victories in a row, Moyes will arrive at London to face a Fulham side who have struggled as much as United at the start of this season. A win against Fulham would see United potentially over-taking their “noisy neighbours” if they are to lose any points from their home clash against Norwich.
As far as United’s team news is concerned, several stars rested for the league cup will return to the starting lineup including the likes of De Gea, Robin Van Persie, Evra and Carrick.
Defence
David Moyes has confirmed that Vidic and Ferdinand are fit for Fulham’s clash. Although we are not sure about Ferdinand’s involvement (both of them played full 90 minutes during the midweek game), Vidic should pair up with either Jones or Evans in the heart of United’s defence. Evra will retain his customary left back position while Rafael who started against Norwich might retain his spot ahead of Smalling.
Midfield
It is still a myth thinking about Moyes’ midfield preference apart from Carrick. While Young and Zaha started against Norwich, expect both of them to be benched this time around. Kagawa is the deserved candidate to start on the left and it is upto Moyes to pick either Valencia or Nani to play on the right hand side. Cleverley who has been performing well recently should retain his spot ahead of Fellaini. However having played an additional game this week, Moyes will have a second thought about starting him. Elsewhere, youngster Januzaj is another option that Moyes has.
Forwards
No questions here. Both Rooney and Van Persie were rested last time and should be back to spearhead United’s attack.
Here is how we think United will line-up today
