The Telegraph reports that Daniel James is undergoing a medical at Old Trafford, ahead of his imminent move to Manchester United from Swansea City. Only yesterday we revealed in this segment that a breakthrough had been reached in negotiations and that a deal was very close. And today, it is finally time for United fans to rejoice.
James had been with the Wales squad as they prepare for their Euro 2020 qualifying game against Croatia, which is scheduled on Saturday. The youngster was allowed to travel to Old Trafford on Wednesday night to secure the deal. James arrived at the club's training ground early on Thursday morning, and had his medical before rejoining his Wales teammates at the Liverpool Airport, as they flew off for Croatia.
The Welshman had attracted attention from a lot of Premier League clubs, but United were always the front runners for his signature. The deal will cost United an initial £15 million, while they will also have to pay an additional £3 million in installments. An official confirmation is expected by the end of today, but reports have also been floating that United will make the signing official by next week.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.

Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
