Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus has put to bed any speculation over his future by confirming that he will stay at the German club this season.
The 24-year-old has been a star for the Champions League and Bundesliga runners-up since signing from Borussia Mönchengladbach. He has a host of clubs chasing his signature, especially Manchester United, who will feel disappointed to hear the news from Dortmund.
“I have a contract with Borussia Dortmund and I am happy to be here,” the German told Bild.
“All I can say about is that I am not thinking about a transfer. I am focused on BVB and anything else is something for the future.”
David Moyes was said to be extremely interested in bring Reus to Old Trafford but it seems he may have to wait until at least the summer now. He’s sure to have even more competition for Reus in the summer, too, meaning that signing the Dortmund man won’t be easy.
Reus has made 17 league appearances for Dortmund this season, scoring eight times.
