The Belgian right-back has reiterated his desire to stay with PSG
Another day, another story of a right-back associated with United. The Thomas Meunier saga has been going on for quite some time and there were talks that he was very close to becoming Solskjaer's first signing of the summer. However, those claims have taken an U-turn of late. According to The Metro, Meunier has reiterated his desire to stay at the French capital and continue his association with Paris Saint-Germain.

In an interview given to VTM Nieuws, the Dutch news broadcast, the Belgian said:
"I want to stay
"We have been talking about a contract extension for a while, but there’s no offer on the table anymore.
"I’m ready to stay in Paris. Everybody knows."
This will come as a huge blow to United, who were looking at Muenier as a great value for money alternative to Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka. However, the fact that there has been no contract extention as of yet still represents a thin ray of hope for the Red Devils. Now it's left to see whether PSG renew his contract or if United manage to sign him this summer.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.

Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
