FC Barcelona want Nice midfielder

Along with signing a replacement for Neymar, a midfielder has been on Barcelona's agenda this summer. After failed pursuits of Marco Verratti and Paulinho, Mundo Deportivo have claimed that the Catalans are ready to target Nice's Jean-Michael Serri. The 26-year old was one of the best performers in the French league last season and reportedly has a release clause of £36 million. Meanwhile, Arsenal stay interested in the combative midfielder.

Gareth Bale to stay put at Real Madrid

Real Madrid have assured the Welshman that he features in the club's future and have also told him that the board will not sign Kylian Mbappe till the next summer, the Guardian reports. Bale is happy in Spain and wants to see out his contract which runs down till 2022. This news might worry Manchester United who were keen on taking the 28-year old on board.
