Inter offer €70 million plus bonuses for Romelu Lukaku
Inter Milan have not given up on their pursuit of the Manchester United striker despite very tough competition from Juventus. The Old Lady have recently entered the race and are ready to include Paulo Dybala in the deal. Antonio Conte has made clear that he wants the striker at the club, and Inter could sell Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan to fund the transfer.
The Milan-based club have reportedly tabled a new offer of €70 million cash plus various bonuses for the 26-year-old, but United want €85 million.
Inter have seen their previous €60 million proposal rejected by United. Nevertheless, Inter director Giuseppe Marotta revealed that the club would keep a close eye on the situation.
“We are ready to pounce on opportunities, but prices are nowadays very high indeed. We made a strong offer, one that is valid and suited to the transfer value of the player, and we were unable to conclude a deal.
“We’ll continue to monitor the situation, and anything can happen on the market,” Marotta said.
