Mourinho wants Sandro, Fabinho and Perisic
Seems we are still in the summer of 2017 where Jose Mourinho is striving to complete his squad ahead of the 2017-18 season. However, we are already 16 games into the season and Mourinho is still chasing a left-back, a central midfielder and a winger.
According to The Sun, United are set for another £120-150m transfer spree with Alex Sandro and Fabinho certain to sign for the club in January.
As for the third signing, Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic is once again linked with a move to Old Trafford despite signing a new 5-year contract with the Serie A club.
As per The Sun's claims, Inter made Perisic sign the new deal just to keep his value up instead of keeping him at the club for long.
Given how United have struggled in recent weeks in absence of an out-and-out winger, Mourinho is hellbent on signing Perisic in January and is ready to force United's hands in meeting Inter's £45million asking fee for the Croatian winger.
Asensio could be the surprise January signing
Marco Asensio has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in January after getting little game time at Real Madrid this season, reports Don Balon.
According to reports, Asensio is ready to quit the club after Zinedine Zidane has doubts over his potential to be a world beater in near future. He is yet to start a League game for Real Madrid in last 1-2 months and given Barcelona's relentless form this season, Zidane has not been allowed to rotate too much with his squad thus explaining the lack of game-time for Asensio.
However, it has not stopped Asensio to seek out another club and as ever Man United seem ready to sign another attacking player but the only concern is the £500m release clause in Asensio's contract.
United will certainly not pay the quoted price and are currently working on a middle ground to agree a favourable transfer fee to sign the 21-year-old star which could also be a boost to his world cup chances with Spain.
Shaw demands £5m compensation to leave the club
Luke Shaw's Manchester United career looks all but over after the player looks certain to quit the club in January, according to the latest reports from MEN.
However, Shaw is not ready to make things easy for Manchester United or Jose Mourinho as player's representatives have asked for a £5million compensation from the club to walk away quietly.
Despite regaining full fitness, Mourinho has been reluctant in selecting the England international in his starting XI in recent weeks which has angered Shaw and had lead to the £5m demand as compensation.
As per reports, United want to sign Alex Sandro as the new left-back for the club which would then force Shaw to be sold in January or at least go out on loan as Ashley Young is miles ahead of Shaw in Mourinho's plans at the moment.
