Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's Manchester United Transfer News Roundup. Let's take a look at the top transfer news, rumours and updates of the day involving Manchester United.
Timothy Fosu-Mensah rejected Lazio move in the winter
Manchester United youngster Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who is currently playing for Fulham on loan, rejected a loan move to Lazio in the January transfer window, according to Sport Witness (via De Telegraaf).
The report claims that Ajax are also keen on signing the player who is unlikely to stay at United beyond the summer. Fosu-Mensah's current contract will run out in 2020. As such, the 21-year-old is expected to be the subject of several bids in the summer.
Manchester United to sell 4 players in the summer
According to Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas (courtesy: Express), the Red Devils will look to offload 4 players in the summer as well as sign 6 in a bid to bridge the gap between themselves and their bitter rivals Liverpool.
Writing ahead of United's derby against Liverpool on Sunday, he claims,
“I don't think Romelu Lukaku will be there next season and I don't see futures for Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo and maybe Alexis Sanchez.
“I think they need three key defenders, maybe one midfielder and then probably a replacement for Sanchez, who they might think about moving on from.
Manchester United linked with shock move for Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo left the Wanda Metropolitano clearly frustrated after being taunted by the Atletico Madrid faithful. He has not been able to find his scoring boots in the Champions League. Manchester United are, according to reports, keen on capitalizing on this and have been linked with a shock move for their former player.

The Red Devils believe that Ronaldo will be available for less than €100 million. They will also stand the chance to keep their sponsors happy by signing a franchise player. United are also in need of leaders in the dressing room and Ronaldo fits that role to the T.
The report claims that Ronaldo has not found Juventus to be as dominant as a team as he had expected them to be and is hence open to a move away from Turin.
