The Matthijs de Ligt transfer saga seems to be hitting new dimensions with each passing day. The Dutchman was heavily being linked with a move to Manchester United after the Red Devils agreed to offer him a lucrative deal. However, the rumour mill has been reporting a twist in the tail as of late.

According to RMC Sport via The Mirror, de Ligt will snub the Premier League giants, having narrowed down his options to Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain.

Barcelona have already negotiated a deal with the 19-year-old and are adamant on granting him a higher package. Meanwhile, Paris Saint Germain are said to be ready to pull out all the stops and pay whatever it takes to bring the Ajax skipper to the French capital.
