It's no secret that Manchester United are scouring the market to sign a defender so as to add steal to their backline. They have been linked with a number of players and Fiorentina center-half Nikola Milenkovic is one of them.

The Serbian defender has emerged as one of the best young talents in his position in recent times. According to British outlet The Sun, Solskjaer will discuss a £45m move for the 21-year-old with Ed Woodward this week.
The Red Devils were also said to be monitoring Milenkovic's situation when Jose Mourinho was in the hot seat at Old Trafford. Now, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in charge and breathing a new life into the team, the club wants to secure the services of the Serbian in this month.
Manchester United could face competition from Juventus and Atletico Madrid, who are also interested in signing the 21-year-old.
