Manchester United have had a decent season and are now looking forward to the next one where they will hope to make an even greater impact. Consequently, they are eyeing up deals that can sort them out for the next season.
Let's take a look at the rumours involving Manchester United that made headlines on 14th May, 2018.
Manchester United close in on Alex Sandro
According to The Times, Jose Mourinho is closing in on sealing the deal for Juventus' Alex Sandro. Signing a left-back is one of the Red Devils' bigger concerns right now and they have for long been admirers of the Brazilian.
Chelsea were also in the hunt for Sandro's signature but refused to match Juve's asking price. However, according to the report, Manchester United are ready to pay £50m for the player and with the player interested in joining the Premier League side, it's likely to be only a matter of time before he shows up at Old Trafford.
Bale-Martial swap on the cards
Manchester United have, for long, been flirting with Gareth Bale. Now, according to The Express, via Don Balon, the deal may finally materialize.
Anthony Martial has fallen out of favour with Jose Mourinho and is reportedly looking for a move away from Old Trafford. The Frenchman has found life difficult at United especially after the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.
Gareth Bale's bouts with injuries have frustrated Real Madrid greatly and it's about time that they cashed in on the Welshman.
With both players wanting to go from their respective clubs, the swap deal could work out well for all parties involved.
PSG will try to sign Pogba if Neymar leaves
According to the Daily Star, Paris Saint-Germain do not want to be left in the cold if Neymar decides to leave in the summer. If that happens, the Ligue 1 outfit will try to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United.
PSG are expecting to get Pogba for a sum of £100m. It is highly unlikely that Manchester United will let go of their marquee player for that money in the summer.
Also, since PSG are going to make the Mbappe deal permanent, they'll have to furnish £165m to that end too. It will be tricky for the Parisians to stay within the FFP regulations if they're planning to bring in Pogba in the summer.
Fulham slap £100m price tag on Ryan Sessegnon
Fulham have slapped a whopping £100 million price tag on 17-year-old wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon, according to the Sun. He was recently named the Championship Player of the Year and has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
