Manchester United v Cardiff City - Premier League
Solskjaer has been advised by former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol to invest on two Premier League stars, the Express reports. Nicol thinks that Wan-Bissaka and James Maddison would be fantastic additions to the United squad, but does not believe that Solskjaer should opt for Harry Maguire. Speaking to ESPN, he had this to say:

Of all those players [linked to United], there are three that you know what you will probably get
I think Wan Bissaka is going to be a great defender. I think he already is a great defender.
You know what you’re getting from him, that’s what United need.
They need to know what they’re going to get, plus there’s going to be an upside as well.

Same for James Maddison, James Maddison for me would be a great signing.
This guy’s a player, he’s proven quality in the Premier League, you know what you’re getting and you can rely on him.
Harry Maguire on the other hand, he’s a big solid centre-back. But I guess it’s an improvement.

Manchester United have to get to a certain level.
But with Wan Bissaka and Maddison in particular, there’s an upside.
There’s another level for them to go.
Go get them, Solskjaer?
