#4 Smalling and Sandro
Manchester United have been linked with a number of defenders over the course of the season. One could almost make an entire starting XI based on the defenders linked with the Red Devils.
So the question beckoned: will they not balance it out?
According to Metro, West Ham United are interesting in acquiring Chris Smalling from the Theatre of Dreams as Manuel Pellegrini is set to spend the £70 million that he has been given by the board.
Meanwhile, contrary to reports of Manchester United cooling down their interest for Alex Sandro, Jose Mourinho is still looking after the acquisition of the Brazilian, Daily Star claim.
They also quote David Amoyal as saying: “He’s on a relatively low salary. Juve could just keep him. If they want to make him a more valuable part of the team they could just give him a bump.
“But it wouldn’t surprise me if Juve would be very open to accepting a €50m (£44m) bid.”
